#2 Starratt Marsh Loop
This is an easy 6 km walk through a wildlife sanctuary. There is parking at the Holiday Inn on Highway 5, 2 km South of Valemount. Follow the trail in front of the Holiday Inn, there is a fork in the trail at the beginning of the dike. The left fork leads to the first viewing tower, the right fork leads to the second viewing tower as well as the trail around the Marsh. At the South end of the dike there is a fork in the trail, the right forks leads along another dike and back to the highway, the left fork leads through wetland forest and continues around the marsh. If you stay to the left at the next fork you will come to the second viewing tower. Allow 30 minutes round trip the the second viewing platform or 1 1/2 to 2 hours for a walk around the marsh.
Getting There From Valemount drive South for 2 km to the Holiday Inn, You will have to start into the Holiday Inn parking lot and then turn back towards the highway to get into the Marsh loop parking area.
